Title: Licensed Addictions Therapist
Credentials: M.S.Ed, LAC
Sometimes clients feel overwhelmed and anxious about upcoming court proceedings and legal rights, responsibilities and expectation when navigating through substance related charges on top of learning how to cope with these stressors in a new way. Even first time offenses can induce stress to navigate through the legal system. On top of that they are needing to learn to identify high risk situations, thoughts, feelings and grow in awareness of triggers and potential trauma. We work together to navigate through this process and maintain sobriety through recovery services and support.
I utilize a holistic and individualistic approach throughout the therapeutic process to accommodate each client’s unique experience, needs, and goals for therapy.
I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment and value the importance of the therapeutic relationship so they can move forward with ease. Vulnerability when working through addiction can be overwhelming especially since the legal system is often involved. It is important to feel safe and comfortable when working through this challenging time.
