Jessie Brockel, M.S. LPC-MH
Founder + Mental health therapist

Studying behavior has always been my jam!  I received my Bachelor's & Master's degree from the University of Mary located in North Dakota and hold an active LPC-MH license from the State of South Dakota.  I have training and experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as well as a variety of other models including but not limited to Trauma Focused-CBT, Solution Based Therapy, Behavioral Modification Therapy, Art, Music, and Play Therapy techniques.

That's the let's get personal!

With 2 daughters, 2 sons, and 2 step-daughters, I often describe my life as chaotic, but I humbly revel in the excitement of it all. We are blessed to live on a quaint farm located in central South Dakota where we raise soybeans, wheat, and corn. I love to cook (even though I am definitely a rookie), love to get creative with projects, adore nurturing my soul through friendships, and weekend getaways to recharge my batteries with my honey, Jason.

As a native Mobridge gal born and raised, I have come to love the cadence of the small town and the people in it! I am passionate about supporting people and have spent most of my adult life working in various Human Service oriented venues. I hold my Bachelor’s of Science in Sociology and Human Services from Northern State University and am pursuing my Master’s in Counseling.  One of my loves is planning and facilitating groups including parenting, foster care, domestic violence, and providing education & training opportunities for our local professionals.

I have two beautiful spunky children who are 7 and 2, who keep me on my toes and continually inspire me to bring my best to this parenting gig. I married my best friend 3 years ago and we are smack dab in the middle of creating our beautiful life together. In my free time, I love to cook and channel my inner DIY!

You could say it is creepy to be so PASSIONATE about Cancer - but I am!  I am passionate about helping you navigate what role Cancer will play in your life today, tomorrow and in the future.  From the medical side, including tricks and tips to make treatment more comfortable - to planning and positive thinking - to helping those around you understand the changes you are experiencing.

I have worked as a Certified Oncology Nurse for the past 30 years but found that my niche has always been education & support.  I have expertise in Chemotherapy/Biotherapy including chemotherapeutic agents, but more importantly understand IN DEPTH the personal side of this disease as I watched my daughter fight Brain Cancer 3 years ago....prevailing as a a survivor.

I have 2 beautiful Daughters and 9 Grandchildren that keep me moving..  I enjoy learning, am an avid reader, and love connecting with others.

Hi, my name is Louie!

Louis if I am in trouble!

I am told my name means “warrior” and I can’t wait to be just that for you!
Whatever battle you are facing, whatever internal war you are fighting, I am ready to be your warrior, your courage, and your strength to get through it!

I am great at snuggling but I make an even better listener and secret keeper! I cannot wait to meet you all and be your favorite small, fluffy warrior!
